Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘Way Upstream’ at The Courtyard Theatre this May

N1 Theatre Company proudly presents Alan Ayckbourn’s ‘Way Upstream’.

Directed by Julia Carey and performed by Court Theatre Training Company final year undergraduate students of our BA (Hons) Acting  degree for a limited run at The Courtyard Theatre. This is the second production scheduled to be presented this May at The Courtyard Theatre, featuring our final year undergraduate students, following the recent announcement of ‘Billy Liar’ by Keith Waterhouse & Willis Hall.

 

Synopsis:

‘Way Upstream by Alan Ayckbourn is a dark comedy set on a river cruise.  Two mis matched couples, arrogant, bossy Keith and endlessly complaining June go on holiday with mild mannered Alistair and sweet, sensible Emma.  It is a disaster waiting to happen and things escalate when their boat runs aground and they are rescued by the mysterious Vince.  Against a background of industrial unrest and political uncertainty life on the river surges out of control in this hilarious, fast paced comedy.’ #CTTCWayUpstream
