Working in a training theatre has been a great experience, allowing me to meet and network with professional actors. London is one of the world’s entertainment capitals and living locally is great.
I have found the practical side of the course really helpful and a more realistic form of training, whereas the theory gives us a good foundation of knowledge and technique. One of the biggest lessons of the course was recognising when to push myself out of my comfort zone as an actor.
The highlight of my time here at Court Theatre Training Company was playing the part of Ilona in ‘Anatol’: acting in a real production was a good insight into how actors in the professional world work.
Court Theatre Training Company has a friendly environment, conducive to bringing out the best in students. I would describe my time here in three words as: ‘What A Rollercoaster!’
