DETAILS:
Create dynamic improvised scenes in this one-day workshop.
Going from the structure of improv games to the freedom of improvised scenes can be both liberating and scary as you discover the joys & perils of filling a completely blank canvas.
In this session we will go from scene, character, and environment basics into more complex concepts including Circle of Expectation, Reincorporation, Relationships, Raising the Stakes, maintaining focus and simple narrative structures.
The atmosphere will be very friendly and supportive starting with some fun warm-ups, followed by exercises in pairs and small groups recapping key skills before delving into how to build an engaging story.
Some improvisation experience is advised. This session is not for the complete beginner.
