Keith Waterhouse & Willis Hall’s ‘Billy Liar’ at The Courtyard Theatre in May

 

N1 Theatre Company proudly presents ‘Billy Liar’ by Keith Waterhouse and Willis Hall.

Directed by Emma Taylor (Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Canal Cafe Theatre) and performed by Court Theatre Training Company final year undergraduate students of our BA (Hons) Acting  degree for a limited run at The Courtyard Theatre.

 

Synopsis:

‘Dreamer. Liar. Escape artist. In ‘Billy Liar’, Billy Fisher spins wild fantasies to escape life in a small Yorkshire town in 1960s Britain—but when reality catches up with him, the stories start to unravel. Around him is a vivid world of colourful characters and a tightly bound way of life—where marriage is expected, ambitions are limited, and three generations live under one roof. Funny, fast and laced with biting social observation, this rarely performed stage adaptation of Keith Waterhouse & Willis Hall’s iconic novel is brought to life by a graduating cast, immersing themselves in a timeless story about growing up, breaking free, and daring to change.’ #CTTCBillyLiar
