We know the application process can feel overwhelming, so we’ve simplified the steps for navigating your options—especially if you’re considering opportunities through UCAS Extra.
UCAS Extra: How It Works
If you’ve used all five of your initial UCAS choices and either haven’t received any offers—or have declined those you did—don’t worry! UCAS Extra gives you a second chance to secure a place. From Thursday, 26th February 2026, you can use UCAS Extra to add another choice to your application.
Here’s what you need to know:
- To use UCAS Extra, you must have included five choices on your original application, received decisions from all five, and either not been accepted or declined any offers.
- Once you select a choice through Extra, you cannot return to your original five choices.
- If you didn’t use all five choices initially, you don’t need Extra—you can simply sign in to your UCAS application and add another choice before 30th June 2026, provided you haven’t accepted or declined any offers.
- If you still don’t have an offer after 2nd July 2026, you can explore further options through Clearing.
