N1 Theatre Company proudly presents Pericles by William Shakespeare. Directed by Paul Jaynes and performed by Court Theatre Training Company undergraduate degree second year students for a limited run at The Courtyard Theatre.

Synopsis

A group of young people from the sixties on a sunny day decide to re-enact the story of Pericles, Prince of Tyre, utilising song and dance along the way.

Pericles, in his attempts to find a queen to secure the future of his kingdom, faces numerous obstacles. Fate throws a riddle in his path that may lead to his death. In a jousting tournament, he does win a queen, but subsequently loses her in a storm. Nevertheless, he gains a daughter through these tumultuous events. This daughter is then abducted, but thankfully, this story of survival reaches a happy ending as all parties are eventually reunited.
