Our BA (Hons) Acting Students Gain Industry Insights from Alistair Petrie

At Court Theatre Training Company, we are committed to giving our BA (Hons) Acting students exceptional opportunities to learn directly from leading professionals working at the highest levels of the industry. This week, we were delighted to welcome acclaimed actor Alistair Petrie, best known for his performances in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, The Night Manager, and Sex Education.

Curated by our Executive Director, Paul Taylor, the event offered students a rare opportunity to hear first-hand about the realities of building a successful acting career. Alistair shared valuable insights into the relationship between drama school training and the professional industry, making the transition from stage to screen, developing and sustaining a craft, and navigating the evolving landscape of the entertainment industry. The session concluded with an engaging Q&A, where students were able to ask questions and gain practical advice from one of the UK’s most respected actors.

Alistair’s experience, and encouragement left a lasting impression, inspiring students to approach their own careers with confidence, ambition, and a deeper understanding of the profession.

Experiences like this reflect our commitment to combining outstanding actor training with meaningful industry engagement, ensuring our students graduate equipped with both the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in theatre, film, and television.
