What a day!
Legendary actor, writer, director and producer Kelsey Grammer joined us for a day to remember at The Courtyard for an unforgettable day for the students at the Court Theatre Training Company.
The esteemed Kelsey, known by many as both a classic actor reprising many on-stage performances, as well as starring in three of the most popular television shows of all time, Cheers, Frasier, and The Simpsons.
When Kelsey was is in town for his returning performance as writer Miguel de Cervantes and the character of Don Quixote in Dale Wasserman’s Broadway musical Man of La Mancha, which ran at the London Coliseum. Kelsey met up with our current Court Theatre Training Company production director Thomas G. Waites – a long-time friend of Kelsey and fellow actor known for roles like cult classic; The Warriors, On the Yard and Gangland.
This was an exciting opportunity for Court Theatre Training Company students to get unparalleled insight into the minds of two experts discussing the trials and tribulations of an incredible life on stage and screen. Kelsey, as warm and funny as ever with wit and wisdom that could have spent many days gripping the hearts of the students.
The day was complete with a small performance by the students that reflected the wide variety of acting styles Kelsey has mastered throughout his career. The students were then able to receive personal feedback from a legend, that we hope will inspire the students for life.
