Festive Tales Come to Life: Students Shine on Library Tour

At Court Theatre Training Company, discovery and creativity take centre stage from the very first day. Our first-year students recently completed their debut major project—a charming Library Tour that brought festive magic to children aged 4–7. With captivating fairytales, lively sing-alongs, and a touch of holiday sparkle, these emerging performers delivered an experience their young audiences won’t soon forget.

Visiting local libraries, our students transformed each space into a world of imagination and delight. They reimagined classic fairytales through colourful, energetic performances that captivated every child in the room. From dynamic character work to expressive storytelling, their enthusiasm and artistry shone through.

But the magic didn’t stop at performance. Interactive sing-alongs encouraged the children to join in, creating moments of connection, joy, and community. For many children, it was their first encounter with live theatre and it felt truly enchanting.

“Watching the children’s faces light up was incredibly moving,” one student reflected. “It reminded us why we’re passionate about acting: to breathe life into stories and make a meaningful impact.” Experiences like these not only build confidence but also reveal how powerful theatre can be for audiences of all ages.
