What is Clearing?
UCAS Clearing is a process that allows universities and colleges to fill remaining places on degree courses after the main application cycle. It provides an additional opportunity for applicants who:
– Did not receive offers from their firm (CF) or insurance (CI) choices
– Did not receive any offers during their initial application
– Declined their offers and entered Clearing voluntarily
– Are applying after 30 June for the first time
– Hold a place but wish to change course or institution
– Have exceeded predicted grades and are considering higher-entry courses
