We understand that the application process can sometimes feel daunting, so we’ve broken down how to navigate your options, especially if you’re exploring alternatives through UCAS Extra.
UCAS Extra: The process
If you’ve used all five of your initial UCAS choices and haven’t received any offers (or declined those you received), don’t worry! UCAS Extra is your second chance to find a place. Starting from Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, you can use UCAS Extra to add another choice to your application.
See below how it works:
- To use Extra, you must have included five choices on your original application, received decisions from all five, and either not been accepted or declined any offers.
- Once you use Extra, you cannot go back to your original five choices.
- If you didn’t use all five choices initially, you don’t need Extra. Simply sign in to your UCAS application and add another choice before June 30th, 2025, as long as you haven’t accepted or declined any offers.
- If you still don’t have any offers after July 5th, 2025, you can use Clearing to explore further options.
