Our BA (Hons) Acting graduate alumni David Ajala secured a stellar role in the hit series Star Trek: Discovery on Paramount+! Ajala takes centre stage alongside renowned actors like Sonequa Martin-Green and Doug Jones. He has many recognised roles in projects such as ‘Jupiter Ascending’, ‘Dark Night’, ‘One day’, ‘Fast & Furious 6’ and many more. His recent upcoming projects are ‘The Woman in the Cabin 10’ & ‘The Mud Hut’. In theatre David has performed with The Royal Shakespeare Company and at The National Theatre.

Matthew McCabe has landed a role in the new Netflix romantic comedy movie “Irish Wish” starring Lindsay Lohan and Ayesha Curry. He has also completed two shorts ‘This Way Up’ & ‘Conveyence’. In 2023 he starred in the film ‘The Battle of Rhiannon Wood’ directed by Paul McNeilly. He is also a writer and a producer.

Felicity Jackson is the founder and director of Actors Pro and Young Talent Expo, largest trade shows dedicated to actors in the UK. She is also the director of The Actors’ Guild which is the largest organisation offering on-going professional development for actors in the UK. She is also well known for her appearance in Series 7 of BBC’s The Apprentice, where she beat 72,000 people to reach the final 16 candidates.

Alumna Kat-Rose Martin is an exceptional writer and actress who has achieved extraordinary success since her training with the Court Theatre Training Company. As the first recipient of the prestigious Kay Mellor Fellowship, Kat-Rose has earned accolades across theatre, film, and television. Her script “The Crossleys” was shortlisted in the BAFTA Rocliffe TV Drama Top 10 and is in development for U.S. production. She has numerous BBC commissions, alongside standout performances at renowned venues such as Shakespeare’s Globe and York Theatre Royal. In 2021, she was selected for the SKY COMEDY REP, a prestigious writers’ scheme with Birmingham Rep Theatre and Sky. Her latest play, £1 Thursdays, was hailed as “The finest new play I saw in 2023” by Gary Naylor of Broadway World. With numerous television projects in development with esteemed companies like RED, Rollem, Urban Myth, BBC3, APC, Red Planet, Warp, and others, Kat-Rose continues to make her mark on the industry.

Stuart is an Actor and Screenwriter. As a Screenwriter, Stuart is the co-writer of Sky Cinema’s ‘Robin and the Hoods’ starring Naomie Harris. He is also a winner of both BBC Writers Room and The Screenwriters Network, and placed as a Grand Finalist of ScreenCraft. As an actor he has appeared in The Theory of Everything (2014) opposite Eddie Redmayne and won an award from Mike Leigh for his lead role in the short ‘Dave’s Wild Life’. He has also appeared in commercials for global brands such as McDonald’s, Jack Daniel’s, Gold Bond, Renault Formula 1, Moretti Beer, Hewlett Packard, Subway and Liverpool F.C. He recently appeared opposite Formula 1 Driver Daniel Ricciardo in the critically acclaimed short ‘Employee of the Month’.”

Abbie Kidd graduated in 2023 and recently appeared in the ‘Call the Midwife’ on BBC, as well as in season two of ‘Black Doves’ on Netflix. She has also performed in the stage production ‘You Are What You Eat’ at the Camden Fringe in 2025, and the show is set to be presented at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2026.
