Yvonne Morley - Voice and Director

Yvonne has been established as a versatile voice teacher and vocal coach for over twenty five years. She has been involved in actor training for a number of drama schools including Head of the Voice Department for the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art until July 2007 when she decided to return to freelance work. She oversaw a large department delivering training to all actor-training courses, provided rehearsal support for over 25 productions  working with writers including Mark Ravenhill and David Edgar and a range of directors including Kathryn Hunter, Mike Alfreds and Peter James.

 Work abroad includes Canada, America, Europe and the Middle East. She has works with dancers and singers as well as actors and recording artists. Beyond theatre she works with journalists, TV and Radio presenters, sports personalities, lawyers, medical specialists, lecturers, teachers and politicians. Highly confidential work takes her into the Houses of Parliament and two of the Royal Palaces.

 Television includes: various children’s television and Road to Riches (BBC) , Panorama (BBC), Newsnight (BBC), Eastenders (BBC) and various drama over the years.

 Film includes: Vain Glory (BBC / A.D. Cox Productions), The Forsaken Promise (Hatikvah Film), Exile to Restoration (Hatikvah Film).

 Other: work as a voice artist for a range clients (narration and commercial).

Yvonne has been assistant director on numerous Musical Theatre productions and directed a range of graduate productions over the years. She worked to co-write and direct “Father’s House” with Canadian composer, Brian Doerksen.

She co-wrote “More Care For Your Voice” (publ: VCN) which has sold over 11,000 copies and is currently working on two books: “Building Character Voices - a performers guide” and “In the Beginning ...” which explores the power of words.

She is on the board of directors for Riding Lights Theatre Company and is a trustee for the Voice Care Network UK.
